Niagara Dog Rescue is a volunteer based, not-for-profit, registered charitable organization whose mission is to rescue homeless, unwanted and abandoned dogs and help them find the loving forever homes they deserve. Niagara Dog Rescue helps dogs from all across North America and around the world with lives saved from Northern Manitoba to Texas, from Korea to Iran! Their mandate involves providing adequate veterinary care including thorough examinations, treatment of any injuries, illness or conditions if necessary, spaying/neutering and vaccinations. Dogs stay in boarding or foster homes when available. Once they are ready to travel, they provide transportation. Niagara Dog Rescue works very hard to find the right family for each dog. All new homes are vetted, thoroughly interviewed and references are checked to ensure best fit.
Since 2015, NDR has saved over 6,800 dogs. These dogs are ALIVE and thriving today because of NDR and their amazing volunteers who cared for, advocated for and fought for each one of them. With no government funding or paid staff, volunteers are the heart of NDR and donations are a necessity to ensure they continue to save as many lives as possible. By purchasing an NDRxMimo candle, you will be directly contributing to saving the lives of these dogs. Proceeds will be applied to the veterinary bills, transportation and direct costs associated with rescuing the dogs including: Spay/Neuter $250 - $400, Transport: $215 - $300, Boarding $32/night, Vaccinations $200, Heartworm treatment: $2,000, Dental work $600 - $800, Ortho surgeries $3,500 - $8,000.
